Season 1
Summary:
Season’s Pilot was aired on 10-16-2001 and the episode established the fact that the entire population of Smallville was affected by the child Kal-EI’s arrival on the earth. The craft having the child arrived at the same time as a cataclysmic meteor shower which destroyed the whole town. Kal-EI was rescued by a childless farming couple Jonathan and Martha Kent who renamed him Clark and raised him up as their own child. Clark is having some extraordinary powers far beyond those of normal man. In order to prevent others from being injured by boy’s strength, Jonathan and Martha kept him aside from the youthful horseplay. The couple didn’t allow him to participate in the sports also. The first season of the series avoided any mention of Clark’s future alter ego, superman. Season first dealt with Clark as he tries to come to terms with his alien origins. At the end of the season first, the series set up a cliffhanger which will be resolved in the beginning of second season. Season finale ‘Tempest (1)‘ was aired on 5-21-2002.
